Note from Richard Dolan. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Challender on one occasion. I believe it was at the 2007 International UFO Conference in Laughlin, Nevada, where he had been honored with the EBE Award for his documentary "Secret Space: What is NASA Hiding?" By then, I had long been an admirer of his work. We shook hands and chatted for a few minutes. Then, Jeff had to go. He was wheelchair-bound and, to my perspective, it seemed he was not especially interested in spending a lot more time at the crowded convention. I learned later that he was a fan of my work, a fact that gave me a certain amount of pride. For I was convinced then, and remain now, that Jeff's work is of very great importance. It came as a great shock to me -- and to many other people -- when he died suddenly of a heart attack in October 2007. Jeff was a lifelong space aficionado. Like many who grew up during the 1960s, he loved NASA and the space program. As an adult, after health issues took their toll, Jeff spent nearly all of his time acquiring and downloading video of NASA missions. Later these expanded to missions of the European Space Station, as well as missions by the Russians and Chinese. He then spent many hours each day reviewing the video. Frequently, he found that very odd events had been recorded. Starting in May 2001, Jeff put these video images on his website, which he called Project P.R.O.V.E. (People Recording Orbiting Vehicles from Earth). To his great credit, Jeff was certainly no "wide eyed gullible believer" regarding space anomalies. He had a strong, rational mind, and consistently analyzed the hundreds of events in a detached, objective manner. Many of the events were not all that anomalous, after he was through examining the case. However, there remained quite a few that remained puzzling after extensive analysis and, for now at least, can only be listed as space-based UFOs. Perhaps it's one of the odd coincidences of history that on October 1, 2007, I had a sudden urging to download Jeff's entire site. I had gone to it many times, and had cited him in a number of my public presentations. But now for some reason I thought, "I need to get a complete copy of his site, in case something happened to it." Very strange, I fully admit. So, I did a complete website rip and burned it to a disk. Jeff died very suddenly on October 4. The shock to me was especially great, since he had been particularly on my mind in the few days prior. The Project P.R.O.V.E. website remained up for about a year and a half after that, but came down finally in 2009. To my knowledge, none of Jeff's friends were able to access his highly secured and password-protected system. Also to my knowledge, no one else had a copy of his extraordinary website. Therefore, I made plans to make the site available again. After talking with Jeff's widow and securing her permission, I decided that the site needed to be up again. Thus, I bring you the complete website of Project P.R.O.V.E. I cannot vouch for any of the external links within the site, but I have tested the internal links, and everything appears to be in order. It's a great site to navigate through, and more than enough to occupy your time for weeks on end. Jeff's achievement was impressive. The world needs to appreciate it, and it gives me great pleasure to publish it. A disclaimer: I do not make any money from doing this. Jeff's DVDs are available for purchase in the site, but not from me. Prior to his death, he arranged with another vendor to sell them, and that purchase link still works.
